ENVS 240 - Recirculating Aquaculture Systems Management

Prerequisites: BIOL 102-BIOL 103 (or taken concurrently), CHEM 151-CHEM 152, and ENVS 110
Description: This course provides the scientific foundation and practical management skills for recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). Topics include the need for and history of aquaculture, engineering and scientific principles behind basic RAS components, water quality management, basic fish culture methods, and waste management practices to ensure sustainable production. Offered Spring semester, annually.
