ISEM 570 - Principles of ITIL for IT Quality (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: ISEM 500 or permission of the instructor Description: The information technology product is central to most business systems. Quality of the IT systems and their delivery are represented by accuracy, reliability, repeatability, and specific customer requirement standards. In this course, you will learn the various techniques to understand the quality processes best practices associated with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework as well as other relevant frameworks such as PMI principles and others. ITIL is about structure. IT services are complex, and so is a business infrastructure. The goal of an ITIL specialist is to marry the two together. This skilled professional aligns IT services with the needs of the company. ITIL is a core set of practices that offer a systematic and no-nonsense approach to structuring Internet technology within a business - mapping out a system that goes from customer needs to end user application utilizing the most proficient path.
