ADMA 455 - Manufacturing Automation Systems (CIM/FMS) (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: None Corequisite: ADMA 410 Description: This course enables students to use computers to implement, control, and operate an entire production process within a Smart Factory environment that utilizes closed-loop control processes which are based on real-time input/output data. Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) scenarios are also explored within the Smart Factory environment in this course. The students will utilize various advanced manufacturing & robotics skills previously learned in the curriculum that involve CAD/CAM techniques, PLC/simulation/digital twins applications, and robot/CNC machine programming skills. Offered Spring semester, annually.
