This 12-credit hour certificate program in Analytics and AI gives the student a foundation in statistical thinking and ethical concepts underpinning AI. The certificate also allows the student to develop a specialized AI skill such as working with LLMs with Natural Language Processing or with AI systems with machine learning. A student may complete this program as a non-degree graduate student or as a Master of Science degree-seeking student.
Program Goals
- Identify and assess the objectives, scope, and methodological limitations for domain-specific problems;
- Design and execute insightful analyses;
- Measure, evaluate, and explain the quality of a dataset and develop a plan to improve the quality;
- Recognize and analyze ethical issues related to intellectual property, data security, integrity, and privacy; and,
- Communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.

Analytics and AI Certificate Requirements
This certicate program requires a total of 12 semester hours. Complete the following courses - 6 semester hours:

With approval from the Advisor, a student can select two-courses (six credits) from existing HU Graduate Programs to form an Individualized Specialization in an area related to the study of AI and data analytics. |
