ENTP 520 - Economics of Innovation (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: Graduate Standing Description: This course introduces the role of innovation and technological change in business practice and economic growth. It analyzes sources of innovation in science, technology, and commercialization. Among others, the following topics are covered: founding of new industries and new markets, commercialization of new technologies, incentives and organization of science, openness and proprietary/controlled innovation. Moreover, selected public policies toward invention and innovation are considered.
