BTEC 355 - Neurology and Biotechnology (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: BTEC 170 or permission of instructor Description: This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the molecular biology and genetic basis of both age-related and injury-induced neurological diseases. Biotechnological research on the molecular mechanisms of neurological pathologies, focusing on unique as well as common mechanisms of age- and injury-related conditions, can lead to emerging diagnostic methods and result in more effective treatments, therapeutic assessments, and strategies for prevention. Offered Spring Semester, Annually.
