GEND 400 - The Entrepreneurial Mind Business and Social Entrepreneurship (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: Minimum of 60 earned semester hours Description: The student studies and compares key features of entrepreneurship from two important vantage points: business entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurship. The drive and creativity of individuals who question the status quo and explore new opportunities are examined. The student reads stories, completes case studies, and speaks with community entrepreneurs. Examples are taken from business and others from ordinary people who do remarkable work. The objective of this course is to help the student identify a specific entrepreneurial spirit, set goals, and develop skills in entrepreneurship. Offered Spring Semester, annually.
