NGEN 534 - Ethereum Blockchain (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: NGEN 520 or ISEM 574 or permission of instructor. Description: Ethereum is an exciting alternative to Bitcoin that provides support for Smart Contracts and Decentralized Applications (DApps) that are not possible to create on Bitcoin. This course offers not only a core developer experience for the Ethereum platform with Web3 and the Solidity programming language, but also offers a comprehensive survey of how the Ethereum platforms have contributed to a completely new offering of DApps. Topics that are covered include Metamask wallet, Remix integrated development environment, transactions, keys and addresses, decentralized consensus, oracles, tokens, smart contract security, and other Ethereum technologies.
