NURS 510 - Foundational Concepts for Master Prepared Nurses (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: Admission to the Master of Science in Nursing Program Description: This course is the first course in the core curriculum for Master of Science in nursing. It provides an overview of the theory in advanced nursing to prepare the graduate with a broad knowledge and practice expertise that builds and expands upon their entry-level nursing practice. The student is expected to have a deeper understanding of the discipline of nursing to engage an advanced level of nursing practice and leadership in a variety of settings with the commitment to the lifelong learning philosophy.
