ISEM 530 - Systems Engineering Principles (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: ISEM 500 Description: This course prepares the student to analyze business information systems to strategically build conceptual analysis models and logical designs. The emphasis at the beginning of this course is on understanding business requirements, business processes, system life cycles and project-management elements and building conceptual models that support analysis and documentation of the business requirements. The second part of this course prepares the student to design complex systems and to develop designs and architectures with security and integration considerations. The course emphasizes business process modeling, object orientation, design patterns, and component-based design approaches.
