GEND 355 - The Corporate Mind (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: COMM 110 , ENGL 200 , GEND 103 , and completion of 60 semester hours Description: This course provides an overview of concepts and tools useful for success within established businesses, along with an understanding of the role of business in the modern world through the lenses of leadership, organizational behavior, and microeconomics. It focuses on current issues in business through an inter-disciplinary synthesis and critique of theories of the modern business corporation. At the end of this course, the student will understand corporate structures, the role of management and leadership, and their role within those systems as employees, managers/leaders, and citizens. Offered Fall and Spring semester, annually.
