CISC 435 - Machine Learning Fundamentals (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: CISC 340 and MATH 250 Description: This course provides a broad introduction to machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and deep learning. The student gains practical knowledge and skills of machine learning algorithms by tackling real-world problems via programming projects. The lectures will cover linear models, kernel machines, mixture models, neural networks, and deep learning. Offered Fall semester, annually.
