ANLY 545 - Categorical Data Analysis

Prerequisites: ANLY 506   
Description: The goal of this class is to elevate categorical data to be a first-class citizen. To this end, a practical application of categorization will be developed through the semester. This course provides the student with exposure to different ranking functions and predictions. These distributions lay the foundation for the generalized linear modes. Analysis of categorical data in the form of contingency tables are studied. Measures computed from these contingency tables such as ranks, odds, odds ratio, Chi-square. Techniques for visually displaying data in contingency tables will be examined.
