MEBA 435 - Business Law and Ethics (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: MEBA 220 Description: The purpose of this course is to define fundamental legal terminology regarding contracts, torts, property, and wills, as well as differentiate between business ethics and legal issues. The course provides the student with foundational information about the U.S. legal system and dispute resolution and their impact on business. The major content areas include general principles of law, the U.S. Constitution, legal systems, the relationship between law and ethics, contracts, sales, torts, agency law, intellectual property, and business law in the global context. Offered Fall semester, annually.
