ENGR 220 - Chemical Principles for Engineering Lecture (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: MATH 220 Corequisite: ENGR 221 Description: This course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts in chemical engineering, including thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, structure and reactivity of organic molecules, mass and energy balance, and analysis of materials. Problem-solving tools include dimensional analysis, mathematical modeling, and engineering design examples. Three hours of lecture, three hours of laboratory per week. Offered Spring semester annually, or as needed.
