ENGR 221 - Chemical Principles of Engineering Laboratory (1 semester hour) Prerequisites: MATH 220 Corequisite: ENGR 220 Description: This course is the lab component to the lecture course that provides an introduction to fundamental concepts in chemical engineering, including thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, structure and reactivity of organic molecules, mass and energy balance, and analysis of materials. Problem-solving tools include dimensional analysis, mathematical modeling, and engineering design examples. Three hours of lecture, three hours of laboratory per week. Offered Spring semester annually, or as needed.
